Looking at Minecraft from a personal perspective and the anthropological outlook for creative virtual worlds and online media. Notch’s work on this product has generated a much larger space than anyone ever expected; dynamically generated worlds, entire servers offering space for sometimes 150 people at once, the ability to create and save. All guided by a simple set of rules and underlying code that evolves from already existing online communities and adds an aspect of creation using a limited number of virtual blocks to general extremely complex visual and social structures.

Pave the world. Run stone across all things, fill the rest with lava. That’s how you declare your mastery.
I am certain that the lava is on its way. In fact, I think that a lava-the-world Minecraft video series would be quite hilarious.
