The action-packed multiplatform space ninja hybrid-MMO shooter Warframe is putting out a massive 4-gigabyte update that will push out to every platform. It will bring with it a large number of engine enhancements, accessibility options, and quality-of-life additions, as well as the beginning of “Star Days” seasonal event.
Star Days is an old event that is returning with Echoes of War that reflects Valentine’s Day. It begins today and players can participate by visiting Ticker in Fortuna to claim rewards by exchanging debt-bonds from 2pm ET today until Feb. 23.
Rewards include the Eros ephemera – a bubbly heart shower that follows the player – and the Neon Eros Wings decoration and Eros Arrow Skin from the previous event. In addition, there are now three new seasonal glyphs including Star Day Ordis, Yareli, and Grineer glyphs.
The new event also added a Ticker floof that can be interacted with and will repeat “words of wisdom” spoken by Ticker herself.
TennoBaum 2020 celebration accessories also returned with Ticker’s Star Days offerings, these are Christmas-related festive items. They include the Solstice Acceltra Skin, Solstice Skiajati Skin, Solstice Kuva Cloak, and Frostfall Ephemera. There will also be a special “TennoBaum x Star Days” livestream on Feb. 10 involving a prime-time gift-giving spectacular, which reflects the charity spirit of the TennoBaum event.
The Tenno operators, the kids and adults, have gotten a little love as well. Digital Extremes added the ability for players to individually customize the color for each eye allowing for heterochromia – or when a person has eyes of different colors. Operators also received 20 new skin color options and a future update will bring improved skin textures to math the New War variants.
The UI received a number of enhancements as well, including converting the Arsenal screen icons from rectangles into squares. This applies to not just the Arsenal but also the Operator and Codex where there have been thousands of duplicated items, where many had been displayed as both rectangle and squares.
Accessibility options now live in their own tab. This puts video and interface options such as color blindness compensation, visual effects intensity settings, screen shake, HUD color customization, subtitles, and HUD motion, all in one place.
