Video games are excellent teaching tools, but combining football and personal finance does seem to be a bit of a mismatch. The game is set in a simple quiz format where answering questions properly launches your team up the field. The interesting thing here is that it seems to be a proper NFL game, with real teams — and real players — promoting it. The St. Petersburg Times has the story.
The game probably sucks, but using NFL players to ensnare kids who normally wouldn’t give two damns is a good idea. There’s a ton of deathly boring stuff out there that’s vital to personal survival in the really real world. The earlier kids get a hang of those skills, the better off they, and the rest us, will be.
