Smartphone games are big business, and while the quick, simplistic games appeal mostly to casual gamers, there are a lot of casual gamers out there. Also, consider that smartphones and their ilk are growing more powerful all the time. In five years, desktop machines and physical consoles might be obsolete. I don’t know if helping to market a device that can, among its functions, play games counts as being incredibly influential in gaming. I do know the iPhone and friends represent those “wearable computers” futurist types have been going on about. Imagine the juice in your phone if its horsepower were doubled.
