Game design rock star Shigeru Miyamoto had a few words on the subject of the PlayStation Vita, a handheld system that’s direct competition to his own company’s 3DS system. This could indeed be a problem for Sony, since a game system is only as strong as the games it plays. Edge Online has the story.
A lack of games could well be a problem for the Vita, a problem that isn’t helped much by Sony’s tendency to lock down the machine while removing all trace of backwards compatibility with their previous systems. You would have thought they’d learn the lesson of the PS2 and how it could play older PlayStation games.
