No, not the MMO, although someone needs to slap an endgame on that thing. We’re talking Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 2, a single-player RPG romp through the back alleys and subtle morality of the Star Wars universe. The problem with KotOR 2 is that it was shoved out the door unfinished. The game received four official patches after release, and even that left a good amount of content that developers didn’t have time to deal with locked away in the cold depths of the game’s code. Now, a modding project has finally finished the work of hauling this lost content back into the light. It’s the Sith Lords Restored Content Mod. Oh, and an interview with a member of the modding team. PC Gamer has the story.
Modding is usually a matter of changing a number here, maybe adding a new graphic or texture there. Something like rebuilding an entire chunk of game is going above and beyond the call of duty. This is an amazing effort, and mad props to the modders for seeing it through.
Now we can all go back to modding characters into furries.
