The Jenner is a light mecha vehicle with no arms, no upper body, no head, and a cockpit right out in front where all the incoming fire can hit it straight away. Oh, and no armor, either. It’s a MechWarrior thing. What the Jenner does have is speed, and speed is life. Check out this video of the Jenner in MechWarrior Online.
The Jenner is a good mech for its stats, but I could never get over the thing’s design. No arms and no hands, for no good reason. No head, no upper body. Mecha in MechWarrior aren’t tanks you drive around with sticks and pedals. They’re plugged straight into the pilot’s nervous system, and he runs them like a second body with his human reflexes and balance.
Now, imagine lopping your arms off and cramming the rest of you down into a face-first running posture for possibly weeks at a time. That’s piloting a Jenner.
Fish on legs! I took a look at the video, and for some reason I thought about flying medium tanks in World of Tanks.
