Music and Gaming Festival, that is. Gaming is a culture, and video game music is a vital glue that binds our little culture together. Our games, and the music that flows through them, are a shared experience common to an entire generation. It will be the same for the next generation. As such, video game music deserves to be celebrated. The MAGFest does just that, with actual live game music composers and nerdcore gamer bands throwing out totally metal covers of their favorite 8-bit hits. NPR has the story.
