If you’ve never heard of Jetpack or Jetpack 2, that’s okay. The original game came out in 1993, made by a teenager named Adam Pedersen. The game promised a sequel that never appeared. Now, a generation later, Adam is finally working on a new Jetpack game. Of course there’s a Kickstarter. The interesting thing is watching someone hold a vision of a game they love for so long. TechCrunch has the story.
Jetpack 2 takes inspiration from Lode Runner, Jumpman, and Boulder Dash, those half-arcade-half-adventure games from the times of ancient lore. The screenshot reminds me of Commander Keen, as well. Best of luck to the guy.
