A rather popular little magazine called The Consumerist hosts a yearly contest by popular vote to discover the worst, most hated company in America, and this year, game publisher Electronic Arts takes the title. It was a narrow win, what with Bank of America coming in second. The win, if one could call it that, seemed to come down to EA’s intrusive policies and money-grubbing practices. Maybe also a little something about people who vote in online polls not owning houses that Bank of America can steal with forged foreclosures. TechNewsDaily has the story.
If only this would turn into real action by people, you know, not buying EA products and saying why loud and long on message boards and review sites. Might do something, if only to serve as a warning to others.
