Not every game finds a home. Most end up canceled and tossed aside on the burning road of fire and skulls that is the game industry. Even Batman games aren’t above the slaughter. Right around the time Batman: Arkham Asylum hit the shelves, another studio was working on their Batman game. This game never picked up a publisher, and so died on the vine. The worst part must be comparing your game, which died horribly, to its direct and successful competition, when that competition turns out to be one of the best games ever made. Watching your hopes and dreams be torn asunder is one thing, but knowing it was the right decision? That can’t feel very good.
