Gaming giant Electronic Arts has teamed up with a number of non-profits to research ways that gaming can be used to engage students in the classroom. This partnership has produced a design lab with the goal of merging educational standards and requirements with current video games. If necessary, the lab will also have the firepower needed to make whole new games. The plan is to distribute these games to parents and school districts at little to no cost.
