Mass Effect 3 has taken considerable criticism for its broken, series-destroying ending. What gamers haven’t attacked, though, is the multiplayer. Apparently, the Mass Effect 3 ending is a decaying limb rotting away what could be one of the better multiplayer shooter titles in recent memory. Now, BioWare has announced the upcoming release of a DLC pack to improve the one thing they got right with their flagship game. Oh, and the DLC pack is free, but only if you bought the game new. Used game players get to suck the pipe. Ten Ton Hammer has the story.
As for DLC that changes the Mass Effect 3 ending to something worthwhile, or even really something coherent, that will have to wait a while. The fellow responsible for the ending, one Marc Walters, has apparently been avoiding windows on high floors, preventing anyone at BioWare from throwing him through one. Until Mr. Walters crashes to the pavement amidst a shower of glass, expect Mass Effect 3 to continue its reign as a legendary rage-magnet.
