Today is the day that classic Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role-playing videogame Neverwinter Nights is available on consoles for the first time starting today.

This amazing port to consoles was developed through a partnership between Skybound Games and Beamdog who announced its availability.

A boxed version of the game title can now be purchased for $49.99 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

The Neverwinter Nights: Enhanced Edition includes the original 2002 RPG of the Year and over 100 hours of DLC, including 10 standalone D&D-based adventures featuring co-op and online multiplayer gameplay (currently on Switch and PS4 with a patch).

The disc contains the base campaign, as well as the Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark expansions. These are combined with premium modules such as Wyvern Crown of Cormyr and Pirates of the Sword Coast available as free downloads with purchase.

According to the press materials, this enhanced edition is tailored for a natural gameplay experience on console. It gives longtime fans and newcomers alike the opportunity to play a game that launched during the formative era of computer RPGs.

Beamdog’s work on this title has greatly upgraded the game with an updated rendering engine providing support for high-resolution widescreen displays, controls optimized for consoles, new content, improved UI and UX, bug fixes, and rebalancing.

The game is also available today for digital download on the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Xbox One Store, and Nintendo eShop.
