Pearl Abyss, a Korean developer of MMORPG Black Desert Online, announced today that the open-world MMORPG Black Desert Mobile just exceeded four million pre-registrations far ahead of the grand launch planned for December 11.

Black Desert is an open-world MMORPG with cutting-edge visuals and skill-based action combat that is unique in the genre. It’s action-based fighting systems are renown for interesting gameplay and it also features an extremely deep customization system that outstrips most other games in the MMO market allowing for extremely detailed character creation.

The upcoming mobile title from Pearl Abyss is a title built on a newly developed in-house engine from Pearl Abyss that will give a complete overhaul of Black Desert’s maps and in-game content. It will feature similar classes to those found in Black Desert Online, but in a limited set including Warrior, Ranger, Witch, Valkyrie and the addition of Giant.

Pre-registration for the mobile title began on September 27 and the numbers have continued to mount and without massive marketing campaigns. According to the company, growth so far has been largely due to word of mouth between fans.

To celebrate this 4 million user milestone, the Pearl Abyss will host a social media giveaway event starting today.

Players can participate by leaving a comment that supports Black Desert Mobile on the Facebook event post until December 12. Chances of winning increase for players who like the event post, share it on social media, and tag friends.

Once the event ends, ten players will be selected by random drawing, which will be announced after December 30.

The winners will receive a special Black Desert Mobile gift bag filled with various Black Spirit items. These include stress balls, phone grips, figurines, stickers, magnets, and notebooks.

Exclusive in-game rewards will also be given to players after the grand launch to commemorate the milestone.

The grand launch of Black Desert Mobile is December 11 and it will feature the same action-based combat system and customization as seen on PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and mobile platforms. The game is currently soft-launching in seven countries and support multiple languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Thai, Indonesian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

Players can still participate to receive special rewards by signing up on Black Desert Mobile’s official website, then pre-registering or pre-ordering on Google Play Store or the iOS App Store.
