The three MMOs are PLAN 8, DokeV and Crimson Desert.

Pearl Abyss, the game developer best known for Black Desert Online (and acquiring CCP Games last year), announced Thursday the upcoming release of four new games: Crimson Desert, Plan 8, DokeV and Shadow Arena.

The first three titles are apparently massively multiplayer online games and the last one, Shadow Arena, is believed to be a fantasy fighting game.

The company only released limited details on each of the titles and instead opted to invite readers to participate in the publisher’s Pear Abyss Connect 2019 event starting Nov. 14 at G-STAR 2019.

PLAN 8 will be an exosuit MMO shooter. This title was brought into being by Minh Le as technical advisor, who is best known as the co-creator of the Counter-Strike franchise, and produced by Seung-ki Lee, former environment art director of Black Desert Online and Black Desert Mobile. This will be the first shooter game released by Pearl Abyss.

DokeV is billed as a collectible MMORPG designed for all ages — as is somewhat apparent by the cute, cartoonish art style in the reveal image. The production of DokeV has been led by Sang-young Kim, former animation director of Black Desert Online, and Suh Won Choi, former game design director of Black Desert Online.

Crimson Desert, which has a similar name of the flagship title of Black Desert Online, will be an open-world MMORPG set in a fantasy world. According to PA, players will join one of three tribes fighting for survival and control on the continent of Pywell.

Jason Jung, the former game design director of RYL Online has been producing Crimson Desert since 2018, alongside Dae-il Kim, the founder of Pearl Abyss and Eter Lee, the former lead combat designer of RYL Online.

Finally, PA announced a closed beta test and trailer for Shadow Arena, a new fantasy arena fighter game. PA called it the ultimate survival game and it features fast-paced, action-packed combat. Shadow Arena has been produced by Kwang Sam Kim, lead producer of Black Desert on consoles.
