One of the hazards of dealing with Chinese manufacturing is that they have absolutely no compunction against selling your plans and designs to someone else. Sony made this mistake with their new PlayStation Vita portable game system. Now, before the Vita has even been released to the public, a knockoff version has been spotted in the wild. Kotaku has the story and pictures.
Normally, I’d be upset with ripoffs and knockoffs appearing so soon. But it’s Sony. The company that rootkitted its own customers. The company that pulled advertised features off their flagship gaming system because they didn’t like people using those features. The company that’s on the forefront of the DRM war that will determine the future of all human media culture.
They can suck it.
