Today marks a milestone so profound that it cuts the technology industry to the bone.
As the luminary presence who brought Apple out of what could have been a death spiral, he is a visionary of brilliant exponential magnitudes and his loss will be felt in many hearts.
Tonight, Jobs sleeps in Avalon with all the other heroes and apple trees.
“Because the people who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world are the ones who do.” – Gizmodo video tribute to Steve Jobs.
He will be remembered.
There’s a lot of you out there who think Jobs was just good for iCrap. That isn’t true. What you have to realize is that before Apple came along, computers were hard. I mean punch card boots-to-QBasic-programming interface hard. There was no clicking, no icons, no menus, no sync, no interface. Just a command line and whatever you managed to remember from some programming book with an animal on the cover. Apple made computers accessible, and forced the industry to consider that maybe they should make computers that work for people who don’t choke down 600-page ASM manuals with their morning coffee.

Hundreds of millions of people can read this because of Steve Jobs.
Just something to keep in mind.
